Ash Wednesday-by Summer

Learning Intention-W.A.L.T-write a recount.

Success Criteria-I know I can do this when I write a story about Ash Wednesday in order ,use capital letter and full-stops correctly

     Yesterday we had Ash Wednesday. We went outside the church to burn the palms.We read what we were going to give-up,then the priest burnt the drawing of what we gave-up.Then we sang a song while going inside the church.

 We sat down and listened to the priest. Next we went in a line so the priest could put a cross of ashes on our foreheads. Ms. Bullot helped the priest because there were plenty of people. 

Later  the readers read the prayer to the people.
After that we knelt down and listened to the priest again.We sang one-more song and had another prayer then went back to school.
