Chickens- by Summer

L.I-we are learning to use adjectives to describe an animal in a report.
Success Criteria:I am successful when I use adjectives to describe the animals appearance in a report.

                                       
Chicks are yellow fluffy birds.They like to eat worms,seeds and bread. Chicks are baby chickens but they can't fly because they need to learn first.Chicks have two legs and a orange beak also two little wings.Chicks are fluffy and cute little birds.

Hens are female chickens.The colours of their feathers are brown,black and white.They eat bread, seeds, and rice.Hens have two yellow legs and bigger wings than a chick.They lay eggs and when it hatches they will become chicks

Roosters feathers are red,blue, black and orange.Roosters have pretty colourful tails.They have red big combs and wattles.Roosters crow very loud to wake up the animals and the farmers.Roosters eat the same food as the hens.

L.I-we are learning about 1984 Summer Olympic torch.

Success Criteria-I know I can do this when I can give information's about the 1984 Summer Olympic torch.

History of the flame and torch.

The Greeks believed that fire was given to the humankind by ''Prometheus''and considered qualities.Mirrors were used to focus the sun rays to ignite flames that would burn perpetually in front of the Greek temple's.The Olympic flame began in 1936 in Berlin games.3,330 runner's brought the torch with flames.

The host country-Los Angeles,California. 

First torch runner-Gina Hemp hill and Bill Thorpe Jr,they are both
 runners now Gina hemp hill  is a TV producer and Bill Thorpe past away. 

Last torch runner-Rafer Johnson he is a film actor.

How many torch bearer's altogether-3,636.

Countries it travel'ed in four years-17.

Until it reached the next host country-They ran for 4 years.

Torch design-It resembles a blueprint.Etched on the ring of the torch were the words of the Olympic motto(''Citius, Altitudes, Fortius'') with the Olympic rings between each word.It features the plaque of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the Olympic cauldron.This gives clues to the torch bearers on what the cauldron would look like.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I make carrots and dip. 
How to make carrots and dip.

Ingredients:
Carrots,reduced cream and onion soup mix.
Steps:
1.Peel the carrots.
2.Slice up the carrots into any sizes.

To make a dip you'll need:
1. 1 can of reduced cream, 1 packet of onion soup then mix them all together in a bowl. 
2. Cover and place the mixture in the fridge to set. When it's set you can dip your carrots and eat it!

How do cats show their feeling's?

Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I can write a question in the heading,an introduction to tell about the topic,and series of points telling how and why?
             How do cats show their feelings?

When cats are frightened they show their feelings, when their hair stands up at the end, especially when they hear a thunder.They crouch down when they have a fight with another cat.Their eyes dart when  they hear dogs barking.

When cats are playful they show their feelings by leaping on my table and make a mess of the paper.They jump on my lap and dig their nails on me.They skitter and chase a string that I  am holding.

Cat's are just like humans because they show us different kind of feelings.

Prayer-Karakia of the faithful by Summer.

 L.I-we are learning to write a prayer of the faithful.                               
Success Criteria:I know I can do, this when I write a prayer for children making first communion in our parish.

For those who are receiving their first holy communion, that they will know God loves them when they love their friends.

For those who are receiving their first holy communion, that will know God loves them when they showed respect to their mum and dad.

For those who are receiving their first holy communion, that will know God loves them when they obey their parents, friends and teachers.

For those who are receiving their first holy communion, that will know God loves them when they don't say bad words, instead just kind words.  

Balloon magic

Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write a procedure about balloon magic.

Materials:
1.T-shirt,pants.
2.Balloon.
3.Hair.

Steps:

1.  Blow a balloon.

2. Rub the balloon on your hair or your clothes.

3. Take the balloon which has been rubbed against your shirt or your hair and given a charge of static electricity,put it on your head.
4. Lift the balloon and you will notice that your hair went strait up.

Was the goal achieved? yes.

 Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I give instructions in      order using action words at the beginning of a sentence. 
               How to grow a carrot tree

Materials: a carrot top, a small container, a jug of water.

Steps:

1 Cut the carrot top.

2 Put the carrot top on a small container. 

3 Put some water on the container.

4 Put the container with the carrot top on the window sill where the sun shines.

5 Watch it grow. Did it work?How can you tell?.
